Momentum Africa participated in the Women in Procurement and Supply Chain Conference 2026 in Mombasa through a keynote session by Ronald Osumba, Managing Partner.

Ronald’s keynote was titled “Governing Under Pressure: Bold Decision-Making and the Making of Board-Ready Women Leaders.” The session addressed the leadership realities facing senior professionals in procurement and supply chain, environments increasingly shaped by fiscal pressure, policy shifts, institutional complexity, and heightened public scrutiny.

The keynote explored what it means to lead with judgment and authority in high-stakes, high-visibility roles, and the deliberate shift required from operational competence to enterprise-level governance and strategic stewardship. A central theme was the specific journey for women professionals moving into board-level and executive leadership positions and the capabilities required, the environments they must navigate, and the standards they must meet and exceed.

The session drew strong engagement from delegates and contributed to a broader conference conversation about professional leadership, institutional governance, and the future of women in senior executive and board roles across the public and private sectors.
